BJP आमदार Vikrant Pachpute यांनी Sting एनर्जी ड्रिंकच्या विक्रीबाबत चिंता व्यक्त केली आहे. कंपनीच्या लेबलवर हे पेय मुलांसाठी योग्य नसल्याचे नमूद असूनही ते अल्पवयीन मुलांना सहज उपलब्ध होत असल्याचा मुद्दा त्यांनी उपस्थित केला. कमी किंमत आणि सहज उपलब्धतेमुळे लहान मुले व किशोरवयीन मुलांमध्ये याचा वापर वाढत असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
जास्त प्रमाणात कॅफीनचे सेवन भविष्यात हृदयविकार, उच्च रक्तदाब आणि मधुमेहासारख्या आरोग्य समस्यांना कारणीभूत ठरू शकते असेही त्यांनी म्हटले. शाळांपासून ठराविक अंतरात विक्रीवर निर्बंध आणण्याबरोबरच अल्पवयीन मुलांना एनर्जी ड्रिंक विक्रीवर कठोर नियम करण्याची मागणी त्यांनी केली.
